DPhil Philosophy Student

University of Oxford

Welcome to my website. I am currently finishing my DPhil in Philosophy at Balliol College, University of Oxford. My main research interest is Ancient Philosophy, with a focus on Plato and Aristotle. In the past, I have worked on the relationship between philosophy and rhetoric, theory of argumentation, and ethics. My DPhil project explores Plato’s philosophical use of the concept of an original nature (archaia phusis) of the soul in his middle dialogues. In the academic year 2023-2024, I will be an Ernst Mach Scholar at the University of Vienna, working on the original nature of the soul in Plato’s Timaeus and in Early Christian Philosophy.
